Welcome!

OneThousandClub was born the way many great things are — around a dinner table.

When I moved to Lisbon, I didn’t know many people. So I started doing the one thing that always made me feel at home: hosting. I opened my doors, cooked meals, set the table, and invited a few strangers over — locals, expats, artists, builders, seekers. What happened next surprised me: people stayed late. They opened up. They shared things they hadn’t said in years. Some people even cried and shared some of the darkest moments of their lives.

The magic wasn’t in the wine or the playlist. It was in the design of the gathering — and in the people willing to come with curiosity. That first dinner turned into a weekly ritual. Then into a community. Then into the movement that today is OneThousandClub.

OneThousandClub was never about mass scale — it was about depth. About connection across cultures. About giving people permission to be real in a world of small talk. And above all, it was about building a life full of relationships you don’t want to escape from.

That’s what hosting still is for me: an act of belonging. And I’m so grateful you’re joining us in creating that for others.
